The Western and Northwestern Divisions of the College Band Directors National Conference continue to re-write the CBDNA history book, and the officers of both divisions have worked very hard to provide a conference that you have come to expect.

We are proud to announce that our 12th biennial conference will take place in Reno from March 14th - 17th. I think you will enjoy looking through the website - lots of information here. Check it out, and have fun browsing!!!

"In the Beginning, there was the Western/Northwestern Division Conference of the College Band Directors Association". That was over 24 years ago when our forefathers conceived this joint venture. We continue to meet in Reno for an inspirational time of musical sharing and camaraderie, and this years Conference will surely be one to remember. This year's slate includes 11 concerts and 11 clinic sessions.

Among the outstanding clinic sessions this year includes a conducting clinic by Ray Cramer, Director of Bands Emeritus from Indiana University. And, speaking of forefathers, Larry Gookin, John Thrasher and I will collaborate on a panel highlighting the 24-year history of the conference. Our guest composer this year is Julie Giroux.
